Love your teacher (and help him/her)
Help!
Teachers, we love them or hate them. Parents are their best friend, or not so friendly. The government, and some parents, expect teachers to wave a magic wand and, "poof" little Susie or Johnny can read on grade level, do their math, etc. and if they don't it's the teacher's fault.
Teachers are expected to put up with rude, obnoxious children because they have "issues". We all have issues and sometimes we just have to put on our big girl/boy panties and deal with it.
Let's be honest, not all children will be a doctor or physicist, nor would we want them to be, so stop having unrealistic ambitions for a child. No, I'm not saying to stilfe their dreams, but someone who can't multipy 7 x 8 in their head in middle school has a few problems.
Parents, We Love You - Really!
Parents, be THE PARENT, you tell child when to go to bed, if they tell you they've finished their homework then check it. Yes, you can go through your child's backpack, you're the parent.
Parents, please don't be offended, but before you believe every word that comes out of your little darlin's mouth, check with the teacher first. Could be Susie made a bad grade because, oh travesty, she didn't do the work........... or didn't get all the answers correct, didn't put her name on the paper, I couldn't read it etc. Try volunteering to help your child's teacher - you might learn something.
Teacher's get paid very little for all they deal with - no supply money, extra
Stress...
Teacher's get paid very little for all they deal with - no supply money, extra paperwork (even though we are in paper saving mode), longer unpaid hours, and for what? The parents are upset because their child is failing, yet when I call your house every day for one solid week, you don't respond back to me, why?
Finally - We Appreciate Your Thoughtful Input!
